What is BHIM?

BHIM is an (Bharat Interface for Money) promoted by the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) for receipt and payment of funds.

What is UPI?

Unified Payment Interface (UPI) is a new smartphone enabled fund transfer technology for participating bank customers to pay/ collect money using a unique BHIM / UPI ID

Do I need to register for BHIM / UPI facility?

Yes, you can register for BHIM / UPI through the Dhanlaxmi BHIM DLB UPI App available on Google PlayStore

What is UPI ID?

UPI ID is an identifier created by you Virtual Payment Identifier (VPA), which is uniquely mapped to your bank account and can be used to send or receive payments in UPI system.
For e.g abc@dlb where 'abc' is a unique name.

Can I send money to someone who is not registered on BHIM / UPI from my BHIM / UPI ID?

Yes. Payment can be made via IFSC/ Account number or MMID/ Mobile number.

How we can add beneficiary to our UPI ID?

The beneficiary details we can add by two ways:

  • Beneficiary’s Account Number and IFSC

    (OR)
  • Beneficiary’s mobile number and MMID

What is the current limit for sending money through BHIM / UPI?

The maximum limit

  • per day Transaction limit is Rs. 1 Lakh (One Lakh Rupees)
  • per transaction is Rs. 1 Lakh (One Lakh Rupees) .

What is maximum number of BHIM DLB UPI transactions per day?

The maximum per day transactions limit is 20.

Where can I see my BHIM DLB UPI transactions details?

You can view your transactions details under Status & Complaint option. Click on ‘Status & Complaint’. You can view your Approval Status or Transaction status.

Are there any charges for BHIM / UPI transactions?

NO,Currently there are no charges for BHIM / UPI

Can I put a stop payment request for funds transferred by BHIM / UPI?

No, once payment is initiated, it cannot be stopped.

Can I de-active/ de-register from BHIM / UPI?

Customers can Go to the BHIM DLB UPI App > Click on De-register (Right bottom corner link)

What's UPI Lite?

UPI Lite is an online wallet where you can pay without the use of a UPI PIN. Our customers can enable the UPI Lite (On-Device Wallet) from any other UPI applications and third-party applications like GPay, PhonePe, etc., that supports UPI Lite. Currently, this feature is not enabled in our BHIM DLB UPI application.

What’s the maximum value of payments I can make through UPI Lite?

  • You can pay up to Rs.500 per transaction and have multiple transactions up to a total of Rs. 4,000 within 24 hours.
  • Your balance can hold up to Rs.2,000 .
