FAQ for UPI integrated with DhanSmart
Yes, we have added the UPI feature in our Mobile Banking Application, DhanSmart.
UPI feature is available both in the Pre-Login screen and Post Login screen.
In the pre-login screen, we can initiate a UPI transaction either by clicking on the UPI icon or by clicking on the QR scan and pay icon.
No, if the customer is already using BHIM DLB UPI customer does not have to register again but have to do SIM binding.
- Click on UPI icon in the pre-login screen.
- Click on the ‘OK’ button present in the information pop-up screen
- OTP verification takes place
- Customer gets the registration screen, where user has to enter the details like, Name, DOB, Gender, Mobile Number, Email ID and the UPI Id they want to set for their account.
- Customer gets a screen to set the login pin(4-digit) for UPI and user has to enter the login pin again to confirm the login pin.
- Customer has to enter the
login pin again to enter the UPI home screen.
- Click on the UPI icon in the pre-login screen
- Enter the login pin for UPI
- Customer will get the screen to add the bank account.
- Select the bank
- Select the account which you need to add to UPI.
- After the account activation, customer will get the screen to set UPI ID.
- User can either create their own UPI ID or can select from the list.
- Click on ‘Save’
- Click on the UPI icon in the pre-login screen
- Enter the login pin for UPI
- Click on the ‘Menu’ icon

- Select the account for which you have to set the UPI Pin
- Select ‘Set UPI Pin’
- Click on OK
- Enter the last 6 digits of the debit card number
- Enter the card expiry date
- Click on Submit
- Set the 4-digit UPI Pin.
After registration, there is a cooling period of 24-hour, during which customer can initiate transactions up to Rs 5000. To make a transaction above Rs 5000 customer has to wait till the cooling period is over.
- Click on the ‘QR Pay’ icon on the pre-login screen
- Allow the app to access your camera.
- Scan the QR using the camera
- Enter the login pin of UPI
- Select the ‘From Account’ and click ‘Pay Now’
- Enter the amount to be paid and click submit.
- Click confirm and enter UPI Pin.
- Click on the UPI icon in the pre-login screen
- Enter the login pin for UPI
- Click on Send Money
- Select the ‘From Account’
- Choose ‘To UPI ID/Number’
- Enter the UPI ID/Number to which the transaction has to be initiated
- Enter the amount to be paid
- Enter Submit.

- Enter the Account Number and the IFSC code

To access the UPI features of DhanSmart after login, user has to login either using MPIN or Touch ID instead of User ID and password due to device registration requirement.
Yes, if the customer hasn’t already registered on BHIM DLB UPI, customer has to register before initiating a UPI transaction after login to the DhanSmart application.
- Login to the DhanSmart application either using MPIN or Touch ID
- Click on the UPI icon
- Click on the ‘OK’ button present in the information pop-up screen

No, UPI Login Pin can be set only in the pre-login screen.
After registration, there is a cooling period of 24-hour, during which customer can initiate transactions up to Rs 5000. To make a transaction above Rs 5000 customer has to wait till the cooling period is over.
The 24-hour cooling period begins from the most recent registration completed by the customer.
